Riverina Water’s new Director Corporate Services Emily Tonacia will hit the ground running with a focus on digital transformation and improving customer experience.

In her new role, Ms Tonacia is responsible for a range of important functions, including customer service, people and culture, IT, governance, risk management, finance and procurement, and community engagement.

“Riverina Water provides quality drinking water every day to 73,000 people and countless local businesses,” Ms Tonacia said.

“We are at an exciting stage of Riverina Water’s history. Our region is undergoing unprecedented growth and we are rising to the challenge with an increased focus on customer interactions and investment in new technology.”

Ms Tonacia first joined Riverina Water as Manager Corporate Services in 2018, previously holding finance roles in the industry as well for local and international accounting firms.

Riverina Water CEO Andrew Crakanthorp is excited to continue to work with Ms Tonacia as she starts her new role with the local water utility.

“Emily is an inspiring people leader that is passionate about delivering a best-in-class customer experience,” Mr Crakanthorp said.

“With more than 10 years’ of experience in both management and technical roles, Emily understands the importance of driving continuous improvement alongside creativity and innovation.

“Emily brings enthusiasm and experience to this newly created role. Emily will continue to work closely with Bede Spannagle – Director Engineering and myself, to implement the organisation structure approved by the Board earlier this year.”
