Engineering student Zual Klathan has gained on-the-job experience at Riverina Water.

After graduating from Wagga High School in 2015, Zual has studied at Western Sydney University. Now in his final year, Zual has taken part in Riverina Water’s cadet program.

“The engineering team are very supportive to help you learn and develop your professional skills,” he said. “I have learned the designing aspects in the water industry as well as project management.

“I think working with our staff has been an absolute amazing highlight so far. The team allowing me to make my own decisions and take initiative is something I valued.”

Director Engineering Bede Spannagle said Riverina Water is committed to supporting the next generation of engineers.

"Each year we take on a number of engineering students at different stages of their study to gain valuable on-the-job experience," he said. “Zual has been a welcome addition to our engineering team and has contributed to a number of important projects during his time with us.”
