Chair and Deputy Chair re-elected

Oct 28, 2020

Riverina Water’s Board today unanimously re-elected Greg Verdon as Chairperson and Paul Funnell as Deputy Chairperson.

The incumbents both stood for re-election unopposed and will continue to serve as the heads of Riverina Water’s Board for the next 12 months.

The Chair and Deputy both expressed their eagerness to continue Riverina Water’s proven record of safe and reliable water supply at the lowest sustainable cost for community.

Riverina Water General Manager Andrew Crakanthorp expressed his congratulations to the Chair and Deputy and looks forward to successfully working with the Board to deliver key projects and initiatives for the benefit of community.

The election of the Chair and Deputy for the next 12 months follows the NSW Government’s postponement of Local Government elections earlier this year, until September 2021.

Riverina Water County Council is constituted under the Local Government Act 1993 and governed by a body of nine Councillors from across the supply area. The Board consists of five elected members from Wagga Wagga City Council, one from Lockhart Shire Council, one from Federation Council and two from Greater Hume Council.
